Nancy (daughter of Felix McDonald) contacted me previously about a picture she had somewhere, and she found it! Her message, via Facebook:"
Bud Stacey - I had a memory pop up on my phone - a photo of Jerry Sims and Dad from the day you and Jerry went down to what we refer to as “The Farm” (our old home place where we all still gather for celebrations). It made me think of something I may have not mentioned previously- my husband, David Rinehart - who died almost a year ago- worked at KTHV TV (which had been a part of the same group that had owned the old KTHS radio before it became KAAY). — David’s father- John Franklin Rinehart was working at KTHV when he died in 1968, about a week after David graduated high school. My Dad and David’s Dad grew up along the old Pine Bluff highway in towns about 12 miles apart. They both worked in communications professions (radio and tv). They knew the same people but didn’t know each other. Our wedding guest lists had some of the same people. While working at KTHV, David worked with Jerry Sims. I have a photo of the softball team,. I also have a photo of one of Jerry’s sons, I think it is Mike. The guys played on the KTHV softball team. And, on the weekends played at tag football- kinda.
Sorry this was so long, but I’m kinda feeling sentimental today!!"
