Bob Robbins, KAAY, May 8, 1972!

Courtesy of Wayne Moss' collection, here is Bob Robbins!  Wayne sent us several tapes that Greg Barman was able to lovingly, tenderly transpose to digital; Dave Schmidt loaded the audio to our archive and here you go!

Mostly unscoped, please enjoy this tasty bit of aural history, in the 2-3pm hour, with full newscast from Mitch Michaels, compliments of Wayne Moss!  Listen in particular to the commercials; hear that reverb?  I'll bet that's the same reverb board we showed you on my trip in April 2011!

(or download here)

Many thanks to Wayne, Greg and Dave for bringing this to you, dear visitor!

  1. Fantastic stuff! Love the unscoped checks... really allows you to go back for an uninterrupted hour or so. Thank you for sharing!

  2. Amazing. Yet again, after hearing hundreds of hours' worth of KAAY airchecks, then along comes one that just blows the socks clear off my feet. The recording is immaculate, the transmitter sings, the jingles are spot-on ... oh, and the MUSIC. Wow. Bread's "Let Your Love Go" was tailor-made to be heard through that RCA.
