Here is another Beaker Street that Dave S. was able to glean from A.J.'s blog before the players broke...after Jethro Tull's "My God", notice the more familiar "Cannabis Sativa" background music?
The Dr. Pepper commercial harkens back to better times, in my opinion. Music was MUSIC, not the synthesized versions we've gotten used to today. I love the nuances of multiple voices and actual instruments!

I am grateful to Dave S. for his rescue efforts, and to Greg for helping repost everything here!
Do you like us bringing back these memories? Please leave us some comments!

Absolutely love all the airchecks you bring us! Please keep them coming!
ReplyDeleteI love this! The more the better! Don't stop!
ReplyDeleteThanks a ton for these Beaker Street memories! I used to record the shows but I tended to record over old ones so I didn't have to keep buying new cassettes. Unfortunately those tapes are long gone. I remember Tom Roberts and Stuart most clearly, so I must have been listening more in '74-'76, sort of the forgotten era of Beaker Street. Are you aware of any recordings from that time span?
ReplyDeleteYes, StegorBatLenny, we are aware that more are out there...but the folks are not forthcoming, as they promised. Maybe we'll finally wear them down and get more Beaker Street material one day, but I'm not holding my breath! Bud S.
