The Day The Music Died....

Jonnie King was gracious enough to contact me regarding the anniversary of the crash that ended the life of Buddy Holly and his band members....

"I'm sending you the Info on this Special Page that I've placed on the HOF Legends Site with a truly rare piece of Audio History.  It's the actual news bulletin that was broadcast after the plane that was carrying Rock & Roll Stars Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and, "The Big Bopper", crashed on FEBRUARY 3, 1959...57 YEARS AGO.

It's been called "The Day The Music Died"...all 3 were young and had brilliant careers ahead of them.  As it stands, all we have now is their memories, and, the music that they've left us.

This Historic bulletin isn't very long, BUT it's an important piece of Rock & Roll/Rockabilly History that's impacted all of us who listen to their songs on the radio until this very day: "That'll Be The Day", "La Bamba", "Chantilly Lace"...we've cruised to 'em all.  Now here's the Direct Link to hear this true piece of History:  http://www.legends.thewwbc.net/gpage149.html

Thanks again, Bud, for your working tirelessly for our KAAY Crew & Blog !

Your friend,

Jonnie  www.legends.thewwbc.net  "

Buddy Holly's and others' music was the genesis for what we listen to today...and it was still innocent, not like the junk today.

R.I.P.; thank you, Jonnie, for all you have done and continue to do!
